"Very expensive for what you get."

"The property was very charming and in a wonderful location in Pacific Grove. You could walk to the beach in 10 minutes and explore the tide pools. Also a 10 min drive into Monterey to the aquarium and Cannery Row. So much to do and see. The rooms were well sized, but so many things were just a bit broken - doors that wouldn’t shut, broken screens and drapes, plug for the tub, etc. I wouldn’t say the room was unclean but the room needed some TLC. Other than that, it was a wonderful breakfast, wonderfully warm pool and hot tub, and for the value it was an overall good stay. "

"So much cuter than what the photos show! It’s like a studio, no one above or below you, they’re like little casitas or in law unit type. You can park right in front of your room, plenty of space, walking distance to the beach. They do service a continental breakfast like bagels and pastries I believe, we went out for brunch so didn’t eat. It’s near 17 mile drive. My husband and I enjoyed our stay!"

"The hotel is clean, modern, and well-located, and the staff were great. However, for the price, it felt underwhelming. The renovation looks good visually, but many of the materials and finishes felt a bit cheap or superficial. Overall, it’s fine, but doesn’t quite justify the premium pricing."

"The property itself was really run down. Old carpets, unpleasant smell, room was below mid. No a/c so had to have the windows open which left zero privacy. Anyone walking by could see into the room. But the perks were it was right next to the beach, down the street from downtown and inexpensive. Parking was right in front. "

"The property was charming. It was like stepping back in time. They ate dog friendly and it seems like everyone had a dog that was staying at the property. The little walking path behind the motel was nice!. The coffee in the office was great. I did have to wait until they opened every day at 8… Staff was friendly! We used the hot tub and it was nice. The pool and area was clean and nice. Pool was too chilly to swim. The room was okay. There was only one chair to sit on and it was the “desk chair.” Cute motel!"
