Dinner was a key reason we chose this hotel, so this was particularly disappointing. Additionally, there was construction noise outside the hotel during the night, which affected our stay."

"Very nice Ryokan! Slightly removed from the core but there are 2 buses that regularly go into town so its not a huge issue. We stayed in the private room on the lower floor with the private zen garden, highly recommend if its available as it was amazing for late night drinks, and the sounds of night and the river that runs beside the ryokan. A must stay for a traditional experience! One Laundry + dryer on site for a small charge (plus you need to buy a detergent packet from the front desk,...

"Our room was clean and spacious. Finding it was a challenge for the local cab driver. The breakfast was just breads but I enjoyed the mugwort rolls! I’d recommend that they add a washer/dryer to some rooms. Also, the sleeping clothes were a little worn. Mine was missing an important button. The staff were friendly but it could be hard to communicate with them over the phone."

"Beautiful property and great location"

"近くにお店がたくさんあり、金閣寺へも徒歩で行けるので立地的には素晴らしかったです。 "
