Overall it has so many good aspects that I would highly recommend."

"It was a great hotel, it was cheap and very clean. The staff were patient and considerate. The fact that there was even an option for single person rooms was awesome. Good option for those of us who don't exactly make a lot. Sometimes, I walk past the building because the buildings are so packed together, it's noticeable enough to identify it though. It has the lettering right above the building."

"Hotel is close to 3 train lines and only 2 changes from Kyoto station. The rooms are small but this is Japan so I did not have a problem with that. It’s very well run and the rooms and facilities were well kept. Only thing would be for the housekeepers once a week to wipe down the desk and the top of the tv because it had a lot of dust on it. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Kabin Taka. Very self serving hotel, cleaning only every 4 days which we didn’t mind and amenity carts on each floor. Room was a nice size and was clean. The only thing I didn’t love was the fact that there is no one at the front desk through the night but yet anyone can come in the front door or up the elevator, security measures to enter the building or to use the elevator at night time would be a nice addition but otherwise the stay was great! A bit far from train...

"Like the cafe/bar in the basement. The 2 buildings across the street from each other makes it a bit inconvenient, for instance, to get to the kitchen from hostel room if they are located in different buildings. Otherwise, clean, nice, comfortable."

"Love everything about this hotel near Ninenzaka. Love the tatami floor that came with our room. Very zen. Altho no pools/gym. I dont think u need that in Kyoto. Laundry room and microwave is very convenient to use. Love the smell of the hotel in the lobby. If ur looking for a hotel to stay at in Kyoto. This is ittttttttt"
