"This hotel is located in a safe and quiet area close to Kyoto city hall, subway, and great restaurants. The room is very comfortable and has everything you need. Breakfast had lots of food choices and the coffee is excellent. Bonus-coffee and ice water is available throughout the day in the lobby and there’s an Nespresso machine in the room. The staff are really lovely and very friendly."

"This property is right beside the Nijo station, a mall with tons of restaurants, and streets filled with more restaurants! Highly convenient as well since it's only a bus ride away to tourist areas such as Nishiki Market, Gion, Kumo River, and all the shrines/temples. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. This property also comes with a laundry area, a public bath, breakfast (for a fee). Rooms are spacious compared to most hotels in Japan. Overall an awesome and convenient property for it's proximity to transportation and restaurants."

"The property is extremely beautiful, the amenities, especially the onsen bath were amazing and the rooms were spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed. The breakfast and lunch were delicious and the bar staff were relatively attentive. The front staff were helpful and attentive. If you need to do laundry they do have public coin laundry but it is always very busy so you may be waiting a very long time. We wish we would’ve upgraded our room with laundry included as we ended up having to go to a laundromat down the street (in the rain)."

"There is nothing negative to say. With all the private baths (and one was always available), it was the best hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. It was the highlight of our Japan trip. Location literally steps away from the train station, so no dragging luggage around. And a 5-10 min walk to main street with all the shops and restaurants, monkey park and bamboo forest. If you are visiting Kyoto and like beautiful nature and tranquility, you'll want to stay here and take the 20 min train into Kyoto city, rather than the opposite."
