Our stay was perfect! The private onsen’s were amazing and the staff is really friendly and helpful! I recommend this for anyone looking to have a wonderful time in kyoto :)

My wife and I went through all of the private baths to see how they were. Super nice and very fun! Definitely worth the stop here in the middle of our Japan trip.

I had a wonderful stay at Kadensho. The dinner was especially memorable, not only because of the delicious food but also because of the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Their warm service made us feel truly welcomed and made our stay even more special. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay. We used the private and public baths and booked a Japanese massage. Both were incredible experiences. The breakfast was an experience - the traditional Japanese option is absolutely worth trying. We stayed in a lovely spacious room, and were within walking distance of many major tourist attractions!, Highly recommend!

Stayed one night here for the experience before switching to a different hotel across the city……… regretted that decision and wished I stayed the whole time I was in Kyoto . The hotel was amazing. The private Onsens are relaxing, the old tatami mat aesthetic is very comforting and the rooms are nice and spacious. They even had free noodles as a snack at 22:30 at night. Highly recommend this hotel. I will be staying here on my next trip to Kyoto

This hotel was a dream! We were able to explore the cultural aspects of Japan, staffs were very welcoming and friendly! Definitely worth staying! Train station and bus stop, many restaurants nearby! 😍

We had an amazing stay at Kadensho! The room was beautiful and comfortable, and having our own open-air bath made the experience even more special. We also loved the private onsen baths and the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everything was well taken care of. This was one of our favorite stays in Japan, and we would absolutely come back again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was exceptionally clean and quiet. The food from the restaurant was prepared well. The staff were pleasant and it was confidently located across the street from a train stop and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I loved it. I will definitely come back in the future.

Everything about this place was perfect it was the perfect slow pace place to stay at. We were visiting Kyoto for 4 days and stayed here and it was just perfect. It is so peaceful, staff is helpful, so many amenities to use, location is great (right across from a train station), so close to so many things, and overall relaxing. I would definitely recommend staying here for a traditional Japanese experience I saw just as many locals as I saw tourists so we knew it was a hidden gem. We opted for the breakfast and had traditional Japanese breakfast everyday it wasn’t something we were used to but surprisingly enjoyed you just have to be open minded! I genuinely can’t say enough great things about staying here. When I come back I will be staying here again.

Lovely Japanese-style hotel with every amenity you could want: free coffee, onsen, laundry, robes, etc… Spacious, clean rooms. Loved the massage I booked! (As a side note: restaurants in the area close very early. We arrived after 7 pm and had no dining options. Apparently there is dining at the hotel restaurant if you book it as a package? We didn’t add it at the time of booking so we were left with dinner options from the mini mart across the street. Word to the wise. )

The location of the property is great. It is literally across from the train station. The walk to the bamboo forest, the shops and walking/biking/running trails are all very close. The room was very comfortable and quiet. My 3 star review is strictly based off the board. Knowing what I know know I 100% would not get the half board. This was my fourth city to have stayed in so far in Japan (including other onsens with traditional board) and the food here was by far the worst. We ended up skipping the second dinner and breakfast. If you choose to stay at this property, I would make reservations at nearby places or even in downtown Kyoto. I would plan this as no more than a two night stay and then continue on your journey.!

We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they spoke English, which is especially convenient for travelers who haven’t learned much Japanese yet. The traditional Japanese-style breakfast was absolutely delicious and easily one of the highlights of our stay. The staff serving breakfast were wonderful as well and made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is also incredibly convenient—the train station is right in front of the hotel, making it very easy to get around and explore Kyoto. And lastly, the onsen was fantastic! It was clean, relaxing, and the perfect way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Between the wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, convenient location, spotless rooms, and relaxing onsen, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto!
