"Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again"

"It isn't 5 star luxury. But it's certainly 5 star value. There aren't any added perks (cooking oil, seasoning, shampoo etc) but the property is spotless and the parking is ample. Our off-peak visit was spot on for our little family. Spacious clean property, lovely staff and a friendly quiz host in the bar. This location is amazing for exploring both coastlines. Would recommend to friends - although the lookout bar isn't exactly a substitute for a cute Cornish pub so it wouldn't suit everyone."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We used the pool and it was lovely. The room we had was very nice and the staff were very friendly. We used the meal van that is on some evenings whilst we stayed and the food was great. Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely hotel in superb position and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. However we are blue badge holders with limited mobility and although there were a number of disabled parking places all these had been pre-booked and occupied by diners. Whilst we were able to leave our car in a disabled space on the first evening we were directed to the underground car park on the Sunday. Unfortunately it was almost full but we managed to literally squeeze into one of the last two spaces. This was disappointing...

"This hotel is in an amazing location right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only downside is the temperature control in the room. It was so hot and the rooms were boiling. They provide fans but they don’t really help. This is when it was very windy and cold outside"

The food in the restaurant was amongst the best I have tasted, however, although very friendly and attentive, the staff in the Restuarant would benefit from more training. "Fantastic hotel in a lovely spot and not far from Padstow or Port Isaac etc.. The rooms were clean and well equipped with comfy (if slightly soft) beds, a Dyson fan if required and even Sky TV! Staff were very helpful and efficient. The gym was very well equipped despite being small and the spa facilities were excellent. I had a Cowshed Spa treatment which was very thorough and relaxing. "Have stayed before but this time we had a two bedroom apartment. As with our previous stays, the apartment was comfortable, warm, well equipped. Yes a bit worn in places. Cooking facilities could be a little better eg. Condition of frying pan, no cooking oil but otherwise everything you could need. Facilities on site are excellent. Adventure golf was very good.
