Staff were lovely , very happy and helpful .
Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice ..
Bedrooms a little hot at times, but I am a person that does like to sleep with a window open .
Light pollution from around the curtain and from under the door sadly let this stay down .
Over all a very nice stay thank you ..
Lovely stay, with fab spa facilities and amazing breakfast. Only negatives were the room was sparsely decorated and a bit sterile (perfectly clean and wonderful bed/bathroom) and a humming sound through the night which was possibly coming from a boiler next door. Would definitely stay again
Lovely hotel and spa. Great food. Staff lovely. Rooms very comfortable and clean.
Walls a bit thin as we could hear next doors television.
Couldnt fault it. The spa was really good
Excellent hotel in Cornwall. Price needs to stay low. Only issue we had was that the hotel only gave us a table if we booked, as the restaurant is open to the public, we weren’t told this upon check in. Superb breakfast.
Cons: No shower gel for whole of hotel. Room not cleaned on first day. Poor wi fi (didn't work in room). Tried to overcharge me on my bill when leaving.
Pros: great location. Modern room with good facilities. Nice food & friendly staff.
Everything about the Hotel and the facilities were excellent. Electric car charging available and the breakfasts were brilliant. All the staff went the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely stay really friendly staff
The bed was really comfortable and room had some lovely touches, board games available and a great selection of tea and biscuits
Highly recommend
Fabulous staff, fantastic pool and restaurant. Lovely large suite with a beautiful view. Amazing kitchen facilities too. Extremely well maintained and in a great location. Already planning our next visit!
The hotel is modern and clean with a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are well equipped with very comfortable beds and cosy duvets. The rooms are situated in a separate block to the reception, bar and spa meaning to have to go outside to access the main areas. The spa, pool and saunas are excellent . The bar area is on level 1 next to the restaurant and is a nice area to relax with a coffee or drink. We did not use the restaurant for dinner , but the buffet breakfast was good quality with an ample range of foods.
What a lovely place to stay tastefully decorated and furnished. The attention to detail excellent food all underpinned by the incredibly friendly, helpful , courteous staff.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay and cannot thank you all enough.
Great place to stay, food good, comfý bed and the staff are all extremely helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when going to that part of Cornwall.
My only negative comment is the indoor pool was cold and it has a outdoor jacuzzi which is cold too, they have just had this refurbished so maybe management will be improving the problem.
They provide a shuttle bus to Polzeath and Rock, from Rock you can get the little ferry across to Padstow. The area is quite and relaxing with a few restsurants around, however the hotel restaurant is very good and reasonably priced.
attentive reception staff who were very helpful. one downer was that there was no room service at night when needing to eat, as i was looking for eating options and no local take aways advertised to get deliveries from
A return to the St Moritz after 5 years and we were delighted to see it was still as great as we remembered with lovely, smiling and helpful staff throughout.
We stayed in a first floor seaview suite, which had plenty of room for 3 of us. A nice balcony, which sadly didn't get any use during our February visit!
Cowshed products in the bathroom, games in the cupboards, lots of wardrobe and drawer space.
Breakfast was included with a good selection of fresh fruit, pastries and cooked food all topped up regularly and cooked well.
The swimming pool area and gym have been refurbished since our last visit and are much improved.
Off the beaten track (isn’t everything in Cornwall?) but well signposted. Friendly reception, nice bar and good food in the resturant. Breakfast was a bit of let down however (too long under the lamp). Indoor pool was being refurbished but a free anytime shuttle to a sister hotel to use their facilities was possible. Great room, and friendly maintenance/support staff.
The hotel, facilities and surroundings are great, the service excellent and the food very good.
The value of the food is not great, particularly the breakfast. The food is good but we expected more for the price.
Also we booked a suite for 2 adults and 2 children and expected proper beds for all of us so were surprised that the children had to sleep on very basic fold-out beds which were very soft and very uncomfortable.
Lovely stay in a panoramic suite which was huge! Even had a kitchen with all the kit should you need it. Was lovely sitting on the deck looking out to sea.
Was also impressed to find hair straighteners as well as a hair dryer. Pool area was nice but not quite as luxurious as I expected from the pictures. Same with the restaurant, it’s the same place you have breakfast which seemed a bit cafe like for the prices - we ate at The mariners in Rock which is a great gastropub. Check out is 10 which seemed a bit early for a weekend and you had to pay more to have a late check out but it’s worth noting you can keep using the pool area after you’ve checked out which was a nice touch. A few areas could do with a bit more attention to detail- you ideally wouldn’t see building materials on show in the car park or have slightly tatty chairs in reception, you don’t tend to get that at somewhere like the Scarlett or St Enodoc in our experience (local and have been to pretty much all of this type of hotel in Cornwall) but having said that would recommend this place for a nice break by the sea and we’re impressed with the room we got.
My friend and I stayed for 4nights the staff were amazing I couldn’t fault them. We had a facial and deep tissue massage in the Cowshed spa and again it was amazing all the ladies were so nice and friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the WIFI which is very slow and drops connection constantly and the daily cleaning of the rooms which was a big one for me. There was a day they didn’t turn up, a day where they came at 2:55pm when we was getting ready to go out and then when they did clean the room it was not up to standards! They didn’t clean the floors or surfaces, they cleaned the bin and tucked the quilt back under that was it so the cleaning could be better! But other than this it was beautiful! We had a fantastic time and will be returning in the future ☺️ Emma & Lisa room 07B 💜
