"Great place to stay. Can sit outside by the canal and enjoy a drink. Staff very helpful."

"Lovely 2 night stay. Reception staff very friendly. Breakfast was good quality. Enjoyed the spa. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing. Booked a table for 2 at 8pm and later decided could we push it forward but was told no due to the restaurant being fully booked. Fair enough. Then when we sat our table for our booking we were told there would be a 30 minute wait for food. Annoying. When sat at our table people being sat at their tables later than us were being served by the waitress before us. Aggravating. I decided to go to the bar and grab some drinks and saw people not booked for the restaurant ordering food via the bar! Infuriating! This pissed me right off and I just wanted to get out of there so I skipped starter and desert. I had a burger which was fine. Wife had a curry which was bland. It really did spoil things."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room had everything you need whilst staying there. The only thing I prefer semi skimmed milk not whole milk but that's down to preference, room was larger and spacious, clean and tidy. The breakfast was great and had a good choice. I would use the parking at the shopping centre not the one across the road. Would definitely recommend staying as it's great value for money."

"The reception staff were excellent so polite and helpful. Great classy hotel. Service is excellent in all areas. Room was very quirky but in a nice way . Very dark wallpaper lovely huge bed and linens. Breakfast was ok for free. Capuccino was delicious. Would we go back? Definitely just not for a long while as it is being restored in September so closed for a long time. Cant wait to see refurbed hotel . "

"We had a lovely time, just a few things that slightly dampened the experience. Need black out blinds in the family room as the light was streaming through until late and with the heat as well the children couldn't get to sleep until it went dark. The gastro pub food l would give a miss in future, very bland, dry and of poor quality but high prices. We would 100% come back though."
