"We were walking the wales coast path and had not factored in the demand around Cardiff for accommodation when concerts are on. The student accommodation was the only reasonable priced option we could get for the weekend ( still more expensive than a premier inn) The main issue was heat, the room was very warm, a fan was provided but the window is only open a few issues (H&S) therefore circulating warm air. "The staff was great, amazing and effective communication throughout the stay. The room was quaint and cozy and close to everything I needed. Also loved having laundry on site. Remember, it is still a hotel, so the beds aren't the most comfortable and the water temp and pressure took some adjustment, but all in all, was a great space to stay"

"Couple of teething problems, swiftly dealt with by our host. Lovely setting, splendid Swedish hot tub and enough kitchen equipment to cook some quite complex meals. We visit the area quite regularly from Carmarthenshire, so that we can purchase lobster, mussels and spider crab (the Welsh Lobster Company) and fantastic fresh fish, scallops and cockles (the Fish Plaice), both on Milford Haven Fish Docks, about a 25 minute drive from the Little Retreat.
