"The staff was very nice and at first we thought the room was up to par for our taste. Upon waking the next day we found dirty underwear in the bathroom and left over beer cans on and behind the dresser. We had a talk with staff and they apologized with a bottle of Champagne."

"This was a perfect getaway for my family of 5, all older kids. This was Memorial Day weekend. We didn’t spend as much time at the beach as we hoped, but we were still able to take advantage of the proximity to other family places around Monterey Bay. The place was clean. While the kitchen does not have enough tools to play Iron Chef, it was enough that a simple trip to the grocery store let me cook a couple of meals for the family. Parking is very tight. There is a parking space available but the street is narrow and the designated spot is tight. I have a Subaru Ascent and it fit, but it is tight. The narrow street adds to the charm of the area and the walkability to Capitola Village and the beach. For me, the parking was worth it. Plus, if you’re familiar with Capitola you already know how hard it is to get in and out on busy weekends. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"Bigger than it looks in the pictures and close to so many things. The parking wasn’t great but that was expected from the listing detail. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils but it worked. The wall with the neighbor was incredibly thin but the neighbors were fine. Loud neighbors could be a problem. Overall it was a good experience and will be back"

"Five “wellderly” friends of 50 years stayed in the cottage. One thing I loved is that it was so quiet. When I woke up in the morning, I couldn’t hear anyone in the kitchen. But when I went downstairs, most people were already up and having coffee/ breakfast. The heaters were very efficient in the morning when it was cool. It was a wonderful location to walk to shops or the beach. It’s not easy to find a place with 5 bedrooms, especially at this price. Hopefully, we will be back next year. I say hopefully because some of us are in our 80s and others in our 70s. It meant so much to be with each other."

"This property is fabulous! Being on Soquel Creek, even with people strolling the Riverwalk, was so peaceful and enjoyable! Parking spaces in Capitola are amazing and this had space for 2 if needed. And it all looks exactly like the pictures. We so enjoyed staying here and hated to leave! Would definitely recommend and return ourselves."

"We had a wonderful stay at our Capitola Beach Haven. We celebrated Mother's Day and our twin daughter's 31st birthdays and it couldn't have been more perfect. Beach Haven is doggie friendly so our son and his Golden were beyond stoked! We loved the open patio in between the two units. Surf City had everything well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had a nice dining table, the living room was tidy, inviting, and we loved the beach designs throughout. Jody and Hallie were our main contacts. They were GREAT! Very responsive and helpful in all our communications. Our next visit to Capitola will be another delightful stay at Beach Haven! Thank you, Surf City Team!"
