"We informed the hotel we'd be arriving early as we were attending a wedding, and they very kindly had the room ready for our arrival. The room was clean and had comfortable twin beds, with a gorgeous view over the village square and Middleham Castle. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. "Room was lovely, but the mattress was obviously old as it sagged in the middle. The hotel is right on a main road so a lot of noise and music playing till very late in the evening. It’s ok for an overnight stay but wouldn’t recommend longer"

"The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at ease as a lone traveler. My room location was less than ideal at the very top of what seemed to be a never ending staircase, however the room itself was very nice, albeit a smell in the bathroom which smelt of drainage. It was however clean and spacious. The breakfast and evening meal were great and again all staff lovely and helpful."
