"Our room on the second floor was clean and had blinds to keep out the light at night. It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated. Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position. "A really well positioned hotel for Alderley Edge and surrounding area. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast options and quality of food was very good. The only thing that let our stay down and the reason for 3 stars was the rooms. They were very tired and could have been better maintained - scuffs on walls, dripping tap, toilet that didn’t flush properly and untidy sealant in bathroom.
