"It was very worn, not that clean or well kept up. Lots of lights didn’t work, including in the shower, skimpy plates and cutlery, some appliances didn’t work."

"This was our third stay at the Grand Chancellor as we used Auckland as a base for overnight trips for other parts of the island. Each time the room was very clean and comfortable, the hotel employees were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again! "

"The Concierge services are amazing and Gustavo is just exceptional! The staff is lovely. The improvement would be for international travelers to get early check in at 8 am after a 15 hr plus flight and have late check out for 5 pm to early the last day before going to the airport at 6 pm for a night flight back to another continent. we would wish all hotels to adopt theses standards of services-like the ole’days of traveling. Hilton Auckland was so much better than Doubletree -Christchurch! "
