"Great stay and breakfast with lovely owners"

"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"We stayed at The Grand Hotel Eastbourne for a family birthday trip in early July. The building itself is grand and the location is lovely, but a few things fell short for a 5-star property. The bath wasn't as clean as I'd expect, and the carpets in our room looked quite dated. For the price point, I was expecting a more polished finish throughout. We were also overcharged on our bill, which was frustrating to sort out. Nice enough stay overall, but it didn't quite live up to the 5-star billing."

"Lovely aparthotel, very clean in a perfect location just about 12-15 mins to town and even closer to the beach, staff members were very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a lovely and relaxed stay after our long walk through to Birling Cap and Beachy Head."

"The Hotel da Vinci's location was excellent, both for the seafront and for the theatres, heading into the centre of town for the restaurants and bars. Howard Square was nicely off the beaten track, very quiet with onstreet parking for which the hotel offered guests complimentary permits. My room was huge, if a little 'tired", decoratively speaking, but everything was very clean. Very happy with my stay, thank you!"

"Good breakfast buffet. Room has seen better days, rather shabby. We were on the 4th floor which was very hot, but there was a good tower fan which cooled things down. The shower didn't work, but reception got someone to fix it at some speed. Only the bare minimum printed information in the room - fire precautions, but nothing about facilities, or breakfast times."

"The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘"

"We booked and paid for two nights in a 'Superior double with king-size bed and sea view'. We were struggling to sleep as the bed seemed rather small. Unfortunately, it wasn't until late on the second night that we worked out that our original booking been changed (our docket showed where staff had scrubbed out 'Room 117' and changed it to 'Room 216'. "Phone number on greeting , then met by mrmbef of staff , could do with a lick of paint lower half of front of house as im guessing directly opposite besch pai t gets battered by wind ,but first impressions wasnt great . My room was lovely location wss great and staff when i ohoned and met them were great"

"Aside from the room that is extremely hot as we were given the room that os facing directly the afternoon sun so it’s unbearably hot though we didn’t bother to escalate it anymore cause we are out most of the day anyway the rest of the service ,like the staff ,facilities and location are really good ."
