"Cleaners are rogue and will enter and throw away anything not in your case! Make sure to get a do not disturb sign as they are not on all doors. Manager and reception were good and responded to my complaint appropriately. "
"If you want an authentic old English Hotel then this is for you. It was really old with oak beams everywhere but still clean. Pub seems to be the Hub of the village so also a good vibe. The village is really really quiet"

Amazing Oast House by Bloom Stays - sleeps 22
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely beautiful location, house, pool and tennis court. A family weekend wedding. We used a recommended caterer for our wedding breakfast... James Drake...amazing food. The best wedding weekend. Looking forward to a return visit "
"We booked to stay as it was near to Wadhurst Castle where we were attending a wedding. The room was The Yew and Eye. Spotlessly clean and a lovely area out the front to sit and enjoy a drink. Very quirky but charming. The welcome at reception and talk through in the room was excellent. The young lady even took a few moments out of her very busy day to give us a brief history of the pub. The bar was busy but well staffed. Breakfast was ample , fresh and most welcome"

Detached 2 Double Bed Cottage, Ticehurst, East Sussex/Kent
10/10 Excellent
"Easy check-in - details sent in advance, and lovely welcome pack inside. Place is lovely - a traditional cottage - you can feel the history. And the nature. It’s very cozy. Some good local eats nearby (we did Cherry Tree and Queens Inn) and some excellent family-friendly days out nearby (we chose Bodium Castle, Bedgebury Pinetum, Tunbridge Wells and Battle Abbey).Kitchen facilities and other handy amenities (towels, hairdryer etc) very good.Top tip for finding the place - if you come uphill from Ticehurst the front of cottage is on the fork at the top, so you need to do a tight right turn to double down the other side and slowly pull up to the back of the cottage. It says this in the email, but still took us a while to figure out as sat nav suggests it’s elsewhere Overall a fab place to stay - highly recommend "
"On our arrival the hotel receptionist couldn't do enough to try and help us get a taxi but unfortunately wasn't able to, however I would like to thank her for kindness and concern."
"There was a slight mix up at the beginning of our trip - (The owners had not received confirmation of our booking until we arrived so they were not aware of any visitors enroute to them until we phoned when we were 5 minutes away!)
However, the owners were extremely apologetic and very friendly and welcoming, they even gave us a bottle of prosecco for any inconvenience.
The hut had been cleaned after the previous visitors so it wasn't long before we were settled. The hut had a really cosy feeling to it, extremely clean and warm considering how cold it was outside too!
The owners were very helpful and able to offer suggestions of places to eat nearby which was incredibly helpful.
Overall our stay was great, owners are really lovely and the hut was comfortable.
The only negative we found was the dim lighting.
However, this didn't take away from what was a lovely little getaway"
"The stay was great - friendly staff; great restaurant; lovely spacious room and very comfortable bed.
The only downside was that, against the owner's request, Hotels .com continue to sell this with inclusive breakfast, which isn't provided.
The village has more great cafe's and bistro's than you can imagine and so breakfast 'out' was not a problem - but Hotel.com misled us with the booking"
