"Five stars for the hotel, zero stars for the body wash’s aim! We had a fantastic stay at the Hume! Check in was a breeze, housekeeping spoiled us every day with a wonderfully fresh room, we had a few great meals in two of the restaurants and location, location, location! We couldn’t be happier that we chose to stay here and could park the car for the entire trip annd explore what downtown Nelson had to offer! All in all, we really have no complaints… except for the body wash, which...

"It was clean and the bed was comfortable."

"You can’t judge this hotel by the entrance, which was quite small, cold, and leading to 2 restaurants and a nightclub that closes by 9 or 10. The room was wonderfully quiet and well equipped. The cool looking brick walls probably contribute to the quiet. Loved the towel warming rack and the large rain shower head. The bed was comfy and wood floors instead of carpet, which was great. All around positive and we would stay here again! Splash marks on wall should be wiped clean."

"Quiet, roomy, comfortable bed and breakfast nook. Very pleasant staff, shout out to Ashley, Gigi and Melissa. Location and parking, great to walk everywhere in town. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks"

"Staff were very pleasant and helpful."

"Staff was friendly, room was clean."

"Much older property with clear attempt to patch up…at least it was clean. Entrance to property from our direction was closed and the other entry is at an angle on a curve..felt a bit intimidating trying to turn with all the traffic. For those that are used to basic bathroom items in stock, there’s No hairdryer."

"Loved age of the building and ambience. Booking a private room was very nice. The only difficulty was the shower head too high and spraying every direction. I enjoyed talking with the staff member on duty."

"The door lock was broken, the coffee maker was dirty, the breakfast was laughably sparse. Absolute dive."

"The hotel is in need of a revamp. The carpet in our room was dirty we worn our shoes every time we walked in the room The bathtub had porcelain chunks missing the drain was rusty and staining the tub We were very disappointed!"

"Ok, well because you only get one chance to make a first impression, I would say "Get you hall carpets cleaned!" I think it's been months since they have been cleaned. The reception area and the breakfast areas are very, very well taken care of so it bewilders me why they have left the carpets in the halls so filthy. Other then that the breakfast was very good and well maintained, the staff was very nice and accommodating. I feel it was a little too pricey for what you get so I would rate it a...

"I would highly recommend everyone to spend a night here. Its so beautiful and stunning lake views."
