"We had an excellent couple of nights stay at St Mellion in one of the cottages which are so well equipped. All of the staff were super helpful - especially Jo on reception who went above and beyond to sort a few things out for us - thank you. We will be back."
"Since the hotel is 400 years old, it had a lot of charm. (things like slanted floors and the room call bells on the wall in the foyer) The location was perfect for exploring the waterfront and catching ferries. The only issue, which it can’t do anything about, is the lack of an elevator and we stayed on the top floor. "The sea view room was great! Would recommend. Breakfast is an amazing selection! Staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s approx 15-20 scenic min walk into centre of Torquay."
"An excellent location and the friendly, helpful staff make this a very nice place to stay. Also worth coming to for those looking for the English hotel experience. Grade 2 listed building, winding stairs, and lots of charm.
Breakfast was included and was a nice start to the day. The bed was comfortable, and we had no issues with water pressure despite being on the top floor."

The room was very clean and quiet. The neighborhood is nice and is an easy walk to ferries, the Hoe, the Barbican, and the city centre. I liked the breakfast and had some great conversations with our fellow guests. Would definitely recommend."
"This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Wonderful boutique hotel. Extremely convenient and squeaky clean. Hospitality amazing. I’ll always be a repeat client."
"Lovely hotel by the sea
We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. The travel to Powderham was easy and relatively quick with only a short walk to the station and then about a 15 minute...
