"We had a wonderful stay at the Sierra Woods Lodge. The place was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect close to nature but still accessible. Highly recommend for families and couples looking for quiet getaway. Special mention to The Rustic Table Restaurant. They serve tasty food at reasonable price. "

"This place is great! My “cottage” looked brand new… better than some name-brand hotels I’ve stayed in! Check-in was easy, and the room perfectly suited for my trip! For the first two nights I think I was the only person there! Not too far from town, and nice and quiet location. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation!"

"Great location, quiet, and roomy. Breakfast starts a bit late, if you plan on leaving in the morning like I did. And, there was not central heating, just a space heater and in wall heater. Would recommend for those who are crashing for the night and heading to Tahoe for skiing and snowboarding!"

"Great location. If you don’t have any walking limitations the Outside Inn is in walkable distance to the charming Historical Downtown area with cute shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Rock Climbing Suite, which felt like a cozy little cabin and very clean. It also had a rock climbing wall in the room, which I wasn’t expecting. "Was expecting a quiet, boring night but the old fashioned hotel bar was lively with interesting people so I enjoyed the fun! It’s not a vibe for young children maybe but perfect t for me as a solo traveler to meet friends. I’ll definitely stay again someday!"

"We stayed here for a girls weekend and had such a great time. The photos truly do not do this place justice. The home is adorable, very clean, and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were plenty of extra bedding and towels, and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking.It is a shared property, but you hardly notice it at all. The goats and geese were such a fun surprise and made our mornings even better. We will definitely be back."

"Wonderful location - less than 5 minutes to walk into downtown Nevada City (right around the corner from the National Hotel).
