at night. Recommend popping into the FIVE WEST cafe in Tighnabruich. There's also a scruffy looking hotel that does quality meals. Wee charity and antique shop too."

"We loved our stay, the accommodation was perfect and it was great to have so much space! The games room and log fires were well used, as was the
beach
which was great for swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the seating area off it was a stunning place to take in the views. Also great to have board games and books to dip into. The local shop was good for extra supplies, and would highly recommend Kames Hotel for a meal out."

"Perfect location - yes it's miles from anywhere but bring your supplies and you'll never need anything! We had various days out at beaches, and did the ferry to Tarbet one day. Kids swam in the loch and played on the rope swing. Perfectly appointed kitchen (could have used some scissors and sharp knives but it's a little thing). Beds were really comfy and never heard a peep from the children after all the Scottish air! Will definitely be back. Thanks so much for Tristan's help when we had a flat...

"We had the most lovely time at Craignethan. The cottage is well decorated, clean and right by the water. The views are absolutely stunning. An early rise with a baby was made so special watching the sun rise over the water each morning. The cottage has everything you could need and more. "We stayed over New Years for 5 days. About 10 days too short. Well appointed, cosy. Brilliant for self catering. Close enough to the town. Lovely walks. We’ve stayed in many places in Wales and Cornwall. This was just so nice. As Londoners it’s further away but worth the trip. We had 2 families here, plenty of space and enough room for the adults to get away, I mean allow the kids room for independent play. Hope we can revisit in the near future."

"The way I explain this little place is like driving through a vortex and arriving at the most tranquil, relaxing, and beautiful place. The views are breathtaking, the accommodation has everything you need for the perfect stay. And we already have 2 more stays booked. This is the perfect place to stay in and unwind and refresh. We are so grateful to have found this little gem. Sat on the edge of the Loch, lovely walks, you will keep yourself busy doing nothing but enjoy."

"Overall we had a great few days here albeit the property is a little 'tired'. We did feel the cleaning could have been better. There were a few dead flies and a number of cobwebs around the place. That said, bedding and bathrooms were clean. The double bed, very comfy. Decking could do with a little tlc too, a number of the steps felt quite 'shoogly'. Location is wonderful with a great view over the loch. Would stay again."

"I can’t praise this property enough! It has been done up to a fantastic spec, very clean, very very well equipped and everything is set out and explained very well. (I always bring extra tea towels, kitchen foil etc because most houses we stay in never have them but this place had everything). The view is amazing, and you can walk straight onto the

"The hotel was class , looked dated , which i like , but the rooms were like wow , wouldn't expect going into a hotel which on the outside , and in the halls were like walking into the late 19th century the i went into a room a basic btw , and a beautiful mural of david bowie and just transformed it into modern, was such a wow factor , the staff were like family , we went to the pub about 3 mile away , and the boss was there , talking away as if we were family, ive never felt so like home but while away , i only came on here to book again and noticed it asked for a review, honestly , if you want the marriot or the hilton , (which lets be honest all loom the same) the you wont be happy , but if you want to walk into history and get to your room with a view , and the room transports you back , then this is it, i honestly loved this place that much i phoned up rough and asked for an extra night , the town is so welcoming , the taxi driver was class , the kebab shop was class , everyone was happy , and trust me i tried to annoy people , they just go with it , an amazing place and an amazing bunch of people xxx"
