"Place is a total dive. The bed was terrible. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. All around you. You enter the building through the trash hall so it smells pretty bad. Overall the whole place is run down and falling apart. But it’s cheap and in a decent location that’s walkable to a lot of attractions. I wouldn’t stay here again."

"My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use and it is stolen, the hotel will call us foolish for leaving it unguarded. I have travelled to 6 continents and I had NEVER previously been in the position where I had to argue/fight with other hotel guests over the right to sit at a table where I had already been seated!! This is a disgusting way for guests to be treated. It doesn't matter that one hour at breakfast might be busier than others, a hotel should still have an adequate number of tables. My advice to people heading for Bergen is to book inn at the Radisson or any other hotel rather than Scandic."

"It was unfortunate that the room that was given to us had deficiencies. The small refrigerator was not working and the wash sink was not draining properly, it literally took 5 minutes to drain. I went down to the lobby to inform them about these. Housekeeping lady came in to check but didn’t say anything on how to resolve the issues. After an hour I went back to follow up but they couldn’t do anything to fix it. We wanted to check out and go to another Hotel but time was not on our side, so we stayed on. Morning after, I spoke to Front Desk (Tiril), she wasn’t aware of the issues, as nothing was communicated. She apologized for the inconvenience and gave us an upgraded room. It is disappointing that a room was given to a guest having with known issues. Poor communication between departments and to the GM."

"Nice spacious room and bathroom, much larger than other rooms of the same price I’ve stayed in, including two chairs and a small table, business desk and chair, and a small footstool at the end of the bed is nice when putting on shoes, etc. The breakfast was excellent. It’s also in a part of town that’s close to Bryggen, restaurants, shopping, and ferries.The ONLY downside is it’s a bit of a maze to find your room… elevator up, walk the hall, turn left up a couple more stairs, walk the hall… Still, I would definitely stay here again. It was the nicest hotel of the entire tour. "
