Staff at the front desk were very nice. Breakfast was amazing and staff at the cafeteria were very efficient. Easy walk to the center. Easy to find. Shops and restaurants nearby. Lobby was beautiful. Free coffee and tea at the ground floor of the building where my room was.

Nice and clean and central location. Room was very cramped though with bunk beds squeezed alongside the double bed - to the point that the double bed was pushed to the side and if I tried to sit back in bed I was hitting the bedside lamp. Also hot - no air con and reception said they’d run out of fans - could they not have bought enough to have at least one for each room? Particularly the rooms that get the afternoon sun. Not great service there folks.

The room: Dark and dingy. Weird smell. Dirty: saw hair from previous guest. Paint was peeling from the walls and windowsill was badly chipped. Overall, it looked like a one star motel used by hookers. Cold front desk staff who were unwelcoming, and not always present. Front desk was frequently unmanned.

Fabulous hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We were looked after by Helena, who was very friendly and helpful, a real credit to the hotel. We would recommend staying here if you are on a Hurtigruten trip as it is very close to the terminal, walking distance with a case, and the rooms are reasonably priced.

We were a family of 7 travelling. Not much for vegetarian options at breakfast other than bread, cheese and beans. We had a squeaky sofa bed and the hotel was good about getting us an additional room so our final night we got better sleep. Reason why I didn't give it a 5star was. There is no individual temp control in the rooms. We were super hot each evening.

We needed a hotel near the Jektevik terminal is that we could easily catch our cruise the next day. Not only was the hotel within easy walking distance, it is also located within strolling distance of Bergen landmarks like the Bryggen wharf and the Kode museum complex, as well as excellent restaurants (also, the hotel does its own fantastic breakfast spread). The room was comfortable and clean and the staff helpful and professional. Highly recommend!
