The hotel is superbly situated in the centre of the city. Staff were always friendly and attentive and the rooms clean and functional. I would certainly stay here again.

Great rooms, great location in the center of the city, outstanding breakfast with all Norwegian specialties, including brown cheese, blackcurrant jam, salmon, porridge. Overall we are very satisfied of this hotel. It was very convenient, quiet and very close to the shops and touristic attractions of Bergen. During inchecking we did not have the most enthousiastic staff member. During our stay we noticed that this luckely was an exception. The other staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff was very accommodating and provided two more pillow and a sheet. Room was too hot and we had no way to cool it. Sleeping with a quilt on was too hot but just a sheet was perfect. The location was ideal being near the harbor and many tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want. Thank you!

The hotel is a bit outdated, but the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of fresh options. Unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning, which was uncomfortable during this hot July. The windows barely opened, and leaving them ajar brought in a lot of street noise, making it hard to sleep. Great breakfast, but not ideal for hot summer nights.

the worst room i have even had during my years of travelling around the world, my view was looking into a dirty painted outside wall 3 metres from the window the sky was only visible buy looking up , resulting in no view which made the room dark. Maybe acceptable for a night but I was staying for 7 nights. Great breakfast and friendly staff

Hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to the harbour and tram station. Staff all very cheery and helpful. Reception area very tidy and functional. Rooms are a bit of a disappointment. Clean but very dark and dated. Maybe would be better with a room that was sun facing. Breakfast was very nice.

Scandic Byparken is in a great location and it was very easy to find and to get to the center of Bergen. The only reason I'm not giving more stars is that the pictures for the Family Room for four had a double and 2 single beds which I assumed was standard for these rooms and when we arrived we had a double bed and a sofa bed which my two teenagers weren't very impressed with. Luckily it was very warm so one teenager slept on top of the their duvet on the floor. I should have asked to change rooms at the time, but everyone had already started unpacking so I didn't.
