I booked the hotel for Christmas week prior to our cruise, and I was very happy with my selection. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. The bathroom was remarkably clean. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast has a large selection that will satisfy any palate.

Although the room was small, the bathroom was fantastic, the sheets comfortable and overall pretty good. But the lobby, breakfast and staff were A+. Live piano music, excellent bar, lovely spot. Hotel has best possible location in Bergen. Overall - room is 4 out of 5 but hotel gets full 5 out of 5.

An absolute gem of a hotel. An old bank turned into a luxury hotel. Grand and opulent without being stuffy. All of the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Delicious breakfast served under chandeliers to the sound of a piano player is the loveliest way to start the day. In the middle of beautiful Bergen right near the fish market. Rooms were spotless and beds squashy and comfortable. Honestly couldn’t fault our stay here. Had the loveliest time, highly recommended.

Lovely hotel and our room was very nice. Very spacious and well appointed with a very nice bathroom with a wonderful, modern shower (a must have for us). The bed was quite comfortable, more so than we typically get. And it’s right in the heart of Bergen so easy to get around. We generally like to try different hotels when we return to a city but in this case we will come back to the Opus 16!
