"We really enjoyed our stay at Vila Formosa. It is in a great location, close to many restaurants and shopping. A short bus ride to Old Town Funchal. The apartment is is well equipped and spacious. The beach is nearby and has a nice promenade to wander along. Our host ,Natasha, also arranged transportation for us from the airport to the apartment. We would definitely return."

Breakfast choices and.service were very good with fabulous fruit every day and tasty fresh egg dishes. Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening. So convenient for all sights, dining and shopping. "Stayed here last week and had a nice time… the property definitely could be cleaner. We arrived to food smeared on the cupboards, no top sheets, dirty couch and pillows. The location is great however, and there is easy street parking that is free. The deck and view are amazing. Overall our stay was pleasant but if you’re looking for a super clean and polished property, this is not it. Also had to coordinate with the owners brother to get the key which I found a little strange."
