"We loved this hotel. A real oasis in the hills away from the amazing hustle and bustle of downtown Rio. Wonderful staff who were very happy to help you out. A lovely restaurant where we celebrated our friend’s birthday. Wonderful balcony room with a slight view of Christ Reedemer. Loved the pool and pool bar, although the cocktail making could do with some attention, and the staff there were slow. Would come back to stay if ever in Rio again. "

"I'll get the bad news out of the way first. The location is absolutely stunning - but that is a curse as well as a blessing. Casa Marques is up a long winding road, high into Santa Teresa. "Very nice retreat in the middle of bustling city. We had breakfast overlooking the hills, city and water. Can’t beat it! "

"Lovely old building, with lots of character. Admittedly the condition is slightly dated, but is part of the charm! Marianne was very helpful, explaining the local area and arranging a taxi for us. Bedroom very spacious and the pool area overlooking the city is brilliant! Santa Teresa is a cool neighbourhood too. Would recommend. "
