Great place, exactly what I needed for a quick stay in Rio budget wise. Wifi is a bit unstable and the elevator slow/busy which would be the only negative. Would definetaly stay again

Economic stay at Copacabana

Closet and bedside tables had quite a lot of sawdust-like remainings of some animals and spider nets i.e. they weren’t cleaned for ages. Wifi was poor as well as ventilation: air was so wet that towel didn’t never get dry. Staff were nice and helpful and understood English. Easy access to the beach.

There was just about no wifi in the room. I heard other people complaining too so it wasn't just my room. There was a charge to use the room safe. Unbelievable! I have stayed in 100 hotels and this is the first time that this has happened.

The property was conveniently located next-door to a parking structure. The daily parking fee was reduced because we were staying at the hotel. There was a complimentary breakfast as well. The staff at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. My issue was with the room itself. The room was not maintained very well. The shower door does not close so water was all over the bathroom floor. There was mold in the shower, the bathroom mirror and in the bedroom. The pictures hanging over the beds also had mold under the glass in the frame. The air conditioning vent was dirty. The mini fridge was very dirty. The window opens all the way even though you are 12 floors up. It is not safe for children.

El personal muy atento, en el lobby tambien el personal de limpieza bien atento todos los dias, igual el personal del restaurante. El detalle esta en la propiedad, ascensores viejos, baños antiguos y con muy mala terminacion, aires acondicionado de ventana, la propiedad necesita una reforma urgente, no depende de los colaboradores, si no mas bien del propietario. Normal como era de esperarse en rio, los indigentes dominan las acerras en horas de la noche, lo que lo hace parecer un poco inseguro.

Boa opção em Copacabana

Recepção e atendimento geral muito bom. Todos os funcionários prestativos e simpáticos. O hotel necessita de uma reforma. Os elevadores com vários botões quebrados, para descer era necessário apertar o botão de subir, já que não funcionava ( 9 andar), o de descida.

Mais fácil falar o que foi bom, a cama é ótima e o ar-condicionado é bom pelo menos do quarto que estava, no restante muito abaixo do que tem nas fotos, box do banheiro cheio de mofo, banheiro muito pequeno, guarda-roupa apodrecendo caindo aos pedaços, o cofre do quarto só a ferrugem e não fechava, os elevadores péssimos mal funcionava, o café da manhã poucas opções, todos os dias que fiquei foram as mesmas coisas, e o gosto não era muito agradável. Pessoal do serviço de quarto mal educados. E olha que não foi barato e melhor pagar um pouco mais pra ter uma experiência melhor.

I spent a couple of days at Copacabana Mar Hotel, i found it very clean, with staff who are always available, very friendly, and ready to help and provide information. The location is perfect, allowing you to reach the beach or the metro in just a few minutes. As for the building, it is quite dated and would benefit from substantial renovation and modernization. The rooms are not particularly quiet, and the beds are not the most comfortable. The breakfast is good but could be improved with a wider selection of fruit and pastries.
