"We stayed there in between hotel checkout, and a late night flight so just basically a nap and a shower. Surprisingly, very quiet for Rio. Clean room really great communication with the host. My only concern was the shower curtain that kept falling. That’s literally the only complaint I have, other than that, everything else was great."

"The apartment needs serious updates if not a complete renovation. The microwave plug doesn’t reach the outlet. The kitchen cookware is rusty and bent. We found a dead roach in a tea cup. Black mold in the shower. The drawers in the bedroom were broken. A light bulb was missing and another one was burnt out. They left one toilet paper roll for a two week stay. "The apartment has a great location. Unfortunately, there is only one window to the small inner courtyard so there's never sunlight or any really fresh air. "🇺🇸 As an American visiting Brazil, I felt very safe and welcomed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and friendly. The nightlife here is 🔥 busy — especially since you’re right in the city center. If you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxing night, just know this area stays active late 🌃. 📍 You’re walking distance to popular spots like the Arches of Lapa and the Selarón Steps 🎨, which is perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast 🍽️ in the mornings is nice, though it can get a little repetitive if you’re staying for a while. The staff was always accommodating and kind 🙌. 🛏️ The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom 🚽 felt a little dated — the toilet showed some yellowing and could use an upgrade. There were snacks 🍫 and drinks in the room, but they’re pricey 💸. It’s better to grab the same things at a local supermarket 🛒 for way cheaper. 🏊‍♂️ I wish the pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ stayed open 24 hours (they close at 10 PM ⏰). But with Brazil’s famous beaches 🏖️ like Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more nearby, you’ll have plenty of options to enjoy during the day 🌞.
