Hotel Atlantico Business Centro

"It's a great hotel for the location. Near Cinelandia and Lapa, short ride to several businesses, consulates and Santos Dumont airport. Perfect view of the Sugar Loaf mountain from the rooftop by the pool. Staff was attentive and helped with what they could. However during my stay, the boiler broke down and there was no hot water for several hours into the night, so no hot shower that day. I also was shocked they didn't have a proper business center (with a "business " name and everything). TV only had local channels and awful signal, so couldn't even check/watch some of the World Cup. Wifi was a hit or miss, often only working in the lobby area. 2 elevators and one was under repairs, so 1 elevator for 19 floors, I was using the stairs often. Breakfast was excellent. If they fixed whatever wasn't working during my stay, it's a great hotel."

"A beautiful building. Comfortable bed and a great night's sleep. Spacious room with a lounge. Bathroom was big with a spacious deep bath, good shower unit lovely blue tiles. Our balcony had a view over St Theresa and down town Rio. Staff were very help when our WiFi was not working and I was using up all of my data allowance. The fault was fixed. A view of a variety of birds from our balcony, even marmasets. Room was clean. The neighbourhood vibrant, lively and lots of restaurants bars and shops. It is hilly so be prepared. Hotel is close to the action but quiet. We didn't use the pool. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and they provided wine & snacks to our room. This was a lovely touch. Thank you. Recommended."

"Buenísimo hotel. El personal siempre muy atento. La habitación estaba espectacular, la ducha amplia y el baño en buenas condiciones. El desayuno estaba delicioso. Nosotros con mi novia llegamos tipo 3 am al hotel (nuestro vuelo aterrizaba aproximadamente a las 2 am) y nos recibieron sin problema alguno para hacer el check in."

"Incredible view of Guanabara Bay. Huge and very comfortable house. Loved the location in Santa Teresa with so many bars and restaurants. Definitely a place if you like bohemian neighborhoods. The only negative is the steep stairs to get to the house. If you want some extra exercise, this is a great way to get some extra hard steps, but if you have knee or hip problems, this is probably not the place for you."
