"Good hotel and good service"

"Excellent hotel. Very pleasant and serene. The staff is great and accommodating. The amenities are excellent. Food is delicious and convenient. You can order food, drinks or snacks from anywhere on the hotel grounds at your convenience. Keep in mind, as part of the hotel concept experience, they don’t provide hot showers. It’s more like a room-temperature shower. Some rooms have a shower under the open sky which is great but keep it in mind. Also something to note is that the island is not very walkable, you can go to surrounding hotels or beach clubs but not very far. Anything in between is not meant for tourists. Whereas not unsafe, just not much to do. If the weather is bad, boats don’t travel as frequently between the hotel and mainland. During sever weather, prepare to hunker down because all boat taxi service will be suspended until better weather. Otherwise, it’s an amazing experience. If you want a slow place to disconnect for 2-3 days - this is an amazing spot. PS: on the hotel beach typically there are activities provided by locals, like jet skis, boats, etc. "

A special mention for John/Juan, whose warmth and open, welcoming presence makes guests of all experience levels feel comfortable participating at whatever depth they choose. Travelers new to this style of travel should be prepared for adjustments: no hot water means late-afternoon showers (warmer), not morning; toilet paper goes in a bin rather than flushed—a common practice in Cartagena. Minor drawbacks: Food options feel limited for guests who don’t eat shellfish and seek healthy options (for example, no chicken both days I attempted to order it). Music played on the beach can be louder than ideal for those hoping to read, nap, or fully unwind, creating a slight disconnect with the relaxation-focused ethos. Additionally, Namaste sits between busy beaches, and jet skis often buzz uncomfortably close, posing both a distraction and a safety concern for swimmers. That said, for those seeking something different, this is a charming, distinctive and rewarding destination."

"I didn't know to arrive here was a mess, the island hotels have their own port, they didnt explained me well that they will pick me up to take me directly to the hotel, then we didn't find it walking, the road is a mess and they dont have any sign of the place... They gave us a wrong room, then they moved us, and the places were dirty, the towels were nasty. Bad experience, the owner was nice and apologize, but the guys that work there in the hotel not good. Bad communication too. It's really bad if you are super tired of the trip and you just want to arrive and rest... I suggest to give more attention in the people that work for the cleaning in the place... "

"What was unique about this property it was that you had to transport from the city to the island on a small boat that was very unique. And the surrounding. I love the staff they were great always attentive and nice I would definitely go back again."

"The good- the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is top notch, with amazing views and plenty of comfortable beach loungers. We snorkeled at the beach and there was coral and fish very close by. We had fun during the day at the beach lounging, walking, swimming, and reading. The bad- upon arrival, they told us we needed to pay “the other half” of what we owed. We had already paid in full on hotels.com, though apparently this was a mistake, that was supposed to only be half the price. In the end they did not make us pay double what we thought we had to pay, but it felt like a negotiation. Also, everything was overpriced. They charged us for potable water. Again, we negotiated with them and they filled our water bottles with potable water for free. However, had we paid the full amount for potable water, we would have spent about $100USD over the 3 nights we stayed there. Most importantly, we stayed in a cabana, and it is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It is glamping. While there is an air conditioner in the room, the walls are all screens and the room is totally open air, so it was very hot the whole time we were there. there were tons of mosquitoes, and I got bit all night despite sleeping under the mosquito net. It was very hard to get sleep considering the heat and the mosquitoes. This hotel would be a fun place to go during the day if you are into partying (loud blasting music all day), but I would not stay there again unless there were changes made. "
