"Host had a few properties and gave us a different one to this. Although further west from the centre of Funchal and had no swimming pool, it was quite amazing and near the sea. Had a bigger balcony with fantastic views. Host was very attentive and communication was excellent. Can walk into the centre of Funchal but the local buses were plentiful."

"Really nice room with very comfy bed, good shower, convenient little kitchenette, nice balcony, very very tidy. Pool looked pleasant but we didn't use as we had free use of the pools and spa at the sister hotel immediately next door (which is a very swanky hotel with amazing interiors). Conveniently located nearby to the town and also near the hotel district with it's good selection of restaurants, also near the bus stops for the airport and tours around the island.
