"This locale was a welcome change from all the action in Kona. Out of the way but within a long half hour drive to Volcano National Park. Nearby town has twice weekly market and great Bakery. Be aware that the condos are the only remains of a golf resort. No AC in units but plenty of fans and the ocean breeze cools things off at night. Nice pool and hot tub with a view of ocean and two nice barbeque grills. A few minutes walk to famous black sand

with turtles. Best visited in early morning...

"This is a great location for launching to the east side of the big island. Not many restaurants close by so prepare to do most of your own cooking.Pool and hot tub on site were excellent, and the short walk/drive to the black sand

was its best selling point.So… these condos/casitas/ohanas were built in 1976, snd there are some of those touches still in place in this unit. Largest one is that the walls are transmissive to sound from the neighboring unit. Otherwise a great stay!"
