"Beautiful property. Very very nice inside and out. Quiet and comfortable. Very close to the volcano and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed an extra day. Spend a day and evening at the volcano and another down to the ocean and sites along the way. A great home base for an adventurous family, play hard all day and relax for the evening in comfort. We have been traveling for a week so the washer/dryer in the attached garage was timely. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here in the future.Thank you. Don and Catherine"

"Joel was a terrific host. We arrived as Hurricane Nola was offshore and suggested that we spend the night in Kona vs making the drive in the rain and the dark. He refunded that night's rent! The room was super clean with some thoughtful touches. The fruit and candy was much appreciated and the shower was wonderful. It was only 5 nights from Volcano National Park and about a half hour to Hilo. Thanks again for making our stay great even through all the rain."

"5 stars in every category, this little cabin is very private at the end of a little lane through the jungle that is nearly a mile long through the jungle and stretches of hydrangea hedge of all things. The drive nearly feels like a bit much the first time but after the first time it is no big deal.The cabin itself was very clean and tastefully decorated, no more and no less than exactly what you need. The layout is ideal and feels very spacious and likely contradicts what the actual square footage is. The hot tub on the large lanai was also very clean and great to enjoy after a long day exploring the area. We loved every part of our stay.Pro tip, there might be even less in Volcano Village than you are expecting. The one or two general store type places were pretty expensive and have limited inventory. Definitely bring what you want and need from Hilo. On the other hand we had a fantastic dinner at Lanikai Brewing just down the road from the cabin. I'm not sure I've ever recommended a caesar salad before but I'll do it now- made with locally grown greens. Solid beers also, maybe try a flight."
