"We loved the location of Leonardo Royal and the staff. Hotel is a 10 minute walk (with luggage) from the main train station. There are steps and a passageway right thru the property leading up to The High Street, which has numerous restaurants, pubs, churches, and at the top, Edinburgh Castle - all walking distance. Staff were wonderful, stored our luggage until check in, offered directions and dining suggestions. Would stay here again."

"Loved the location, it is just steps from the Royal Mile and lots of attractions. The Tolbooth Tavern nearby was a great find. The building itself is really good as well. There is are lot of stairs, but also a lot of space which was very good for our famiy stay. The building does need some updates (ie carpet on stairs looks dingy, and there are banged up walls in the stairway is likely from lots of travellers). Overall though we loved the well stocked kitchen, 4 bedrooms and bathrooms!! The...

"Very central and walkable location. Staff very friendly and attentive. I found the apartment hot and front desk immediately brought me a fan. Wifi would cut out on me occasionally, but otherwise a great little apartment. Considering part of the university it was quite quiet. "

"Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Royal Mile was priced ok for the area, but wish it had a mini fridge to put things in to keep cool. I was also very disappointed that they did not have a laundry facility at the hotel. "

"This is an apartment and the staff are not on premises. The name on the building does not match the reservation name. Once we finally found the building check in was confusing as you had to call a number and the housekeeper met us. Nothing was explained. The balcony door would not open. The WiFi did not work. Bare minimum kitchen utensils and supplies. Apartment old and worn. Staff stopped answering our calls when we phoned for help and questions. The two bedrooms and bathrooms and living areas...
