"Fantastic friendly service, characterful property and a pleasant change from a chain hotel. Not right in the centre but only a very safe 6-8min walk from Minster, shops, restaurants etc… Breakfast was outstanding and good value at £16 for juice, coffee, pastry, yogurt and fruit and Eggs Benedict. Full English a bit more, lighter options from £11. Quite a lot of parking outside at £15 a night (good for York) but it’s very tight & I’d advise contacting them to reserve a place. I got the last one...

"Cute little hotel with kind staff. It was being prepared for renovations while we were here which created some commotion with the lifts and traffic in the lobby. The room was comfortable and gym was good. We cut our stay short to stay closer to the sights and the staff was incredibly gracious about the change. Thank you for having us!"

"This is a very nice property with some good amenities. Had a few snags but nothing that couldn’t be overcome by the staff. The transportation was great!! I would definitely stay here again. "

"Aircon not working in the room, water and a fan provided. However the fan was noisy and had to close the window due to the noise from the bus station below. Opened it at 2am then ok "

"Close to the station, super comfy bed, pillows a little too hard with no soft pillows in room but no biggie! I had an executive room so had the little extras, the lounging chair was really comfy too. A few gluten free options for breakfast, including Schär cereals, which was brilliant. Only thing would be have more gluten free bread available so you don’t run out completely. Great stay all in all "

"Great stay good location ! Complimentary drink voucher on arrival, beer or wine. Breakfast lacked meat gluten free sausage. Breakfast was hot and tasty with lots of choice. Room was spacious and comfortable, room cleaned and towels changed on a two night stay. Overall a great stay. "
