Gardens are the best Carmel has to offer. Two features that need improvement: please offer “real” in room coffee - not instant powdered stuff!! "The bed was comfy. The room was very clean. We walked in the bathroom and could smell bleach which is a good thing. Housekeeping was so nice. We asked for a fan and they found one for us. The location was convenient. Everything was walking distance or you could take the trolley for free to Fisherman's Wharf. The restaurant makes the best breakfast sandwich. The restaurant staff was attentive and nice. The restaurant was very clean. The only drawback was that we stayed in room 262. It faced the street. So on Saturday night it was so loud that we didn't get much sleep. Do not stay in a room that faces the street. The next day was quiet and we were well rested. All the staff was nice and helpful. From the valet to the bellman. "
