"I had a wonderful stay in Grand Sunset Princess Resort. Lots of activities for both adult and kids. Delicious food and lots of restaurants to choose. All of the staff that I encountered were so accommodating. Although there are some seaweeds in the shore, there are parts of the beach where you can relax and chill. "

"A True 5 Star resort. We (2 Adults and Twin Kids of 3.5 Yrs.) stayed for 9 days (8 nights) in The Grand and had an amazing time. The hotel is very clean. The food is overall good and the drinks are great. This was one of the resorts when you truly had the feeling the staff enjoyed working there something we did not always experience in other five star resorts. Genuinely nice warm people. The concierge was very helpful and communication went flawless. "

"This resort is very modern and Americanized, didn’t feel authentic Mexican. Beautifully designed with really great food. The buffet was amazing always had something new to discover. Did not like the wait times to get into the buffet or the order coffee from there little on site coffee shop. It was impossible to just go somewhere and help yourself to morning coffee. You had to wait to be sat then wait for the waiter to come over to your table (at the buffet) the train brings you around which helps since the resort is so big: the beach side pool is very sleek. Staff friendly. The gym is beautiful and nice tennis courts. Nightly live musicians were talented. I loved the smell in the lobby. "

"Truly enjoyed the Fairmont. Beautiful property, great food at the pool restaurant. Friendly staff there as well. One big frustration was the totally unreliable staff at the reception/golf cart transportation on site: several times we were told: a driver is on the way, will be there or told by a driver “justifying around there back in a minute” without anyone ever showing up afterwards. "We had a fantastic stay at Sandos Caracol Playa del Carmen as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids), and we would definitely consider coming back. Pros: The hotel is very clean, and the staff overall are respectful and welcoming. One of the highlights of this resort is the wildlife—you really feel immersed in nature, which makes the experience unique for both adults and kids. Check-in was smooth and quick, likely because we arrived outside peak hours, which set a great tone for the trip. The restaurants were excellent across the board, with the Italian restaurant being our absolute favourite. Another big plus: no need to wake up early to reserve beach or pool chairs. There was always plenty of space. The beach area with palm trees and long chairs is especially great, offering lots of natural shade and a very relaxing atmosphere. There were nightly shows, and they were consistently entertaining. The pirate show and the fire show stood out as highlights, and our kids especially loved them. A special thank you to Judy, our concierge, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and enjoyable. Also, a shout-out to Ruth at the omelette station (Italian restaurant), as well as Nury and Kevin for their great service. Cons: The food at the Laguna buffet was unfortunately quite disappointing and could use improvement. The main pool is a bit small considering the size of the resort, although this is somewhat offset by the presence of other pools throughout the pro"

"Viceroy Riviera Maya was the perfect spot for our honeymoon! Our villa was spacious and private. We loved the outdoor shower and patio area that was just for us. Restaurant service and food was TOP NOTCH. We were blown away at every meal. Viceroy staff anticipated our every need and provided personalized, detailed service that helped us take advantage of all the resort had to offer. From our welcome tour to being coached how to ensure we didn’t go hungry despite an early checkout before restaurants opened, we were truly pampered for the duration of our stay. A special note to La Marea server Yoshio — he gave expert menu recommendations and his passion and enthusiasm for food made every dinner that much more enjoyable. We can not wait to return. If I had to offer a critique: - The neighboring property’s entertainment carried on late into most evenings and could easily be heard throughout the property. - The jungle landscape is gorgeous but I wish we’d been able to enjoy a bit more sun from our private patio.
