They helped us arrange special meals for our daughter, who has dietary restrictions, making our stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. I can't remember the names of the housekeeping, room service, and in-suite snack staff, but their service was also top-notch. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay."

"We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels."

"We recently stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise in Playa del Carmen and had a wonderful vacation overall. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers plenty to do for both families and couples. We especially enjoyed the large pools, nightly entertainment, and the variety of restaurants available. The grounds were clean, and the staff members were friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. We are already looking forward to coming back and seeing the wonderful staff members who made our stay even more special—William, Luis, Victor, and Capitán Meneses. Their kindness, attentiveness, and warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome, and we can’t wait to visit again."

"Stay Details: Mid-June | Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children ages 9 & 10) | 3-Bedroom Apartment with Rooftop Pool The Highlights: The resort itself is amazing, set beautifully within the natural mangroves. The property is massive, and embracing the provided bicycles is a must. Once you get used to biking, it is a fantastic way to get around, it is a 6-minute ride to the beach and tennis courts, or a 30-minute ride exploring the completely shaded natural trails. The included breakfast served by the beach is amazing and was a major high point of our stay. The Accommodation: At around $1,000 USD per day during low season, the room rate is fair. However, for a five-star resort, the 3-bedroom apartment needed some maintenance. Despite being recently renovated, the finishes are a bit rough around the edges, and closing doors and kitchen cabinets feels clunky. If you plan to cook, be aware that the kitchen is not very functional as it lacks basic utensils and cookware. The Drawbacks: The massive downside to this resort is the food and beverage pricing, which is so exorbitant it completely overshadowed the trip. The prices exceed what you would pay at the Four Seasons in New York City. For context: $120 for a plate of pasta $75 for Eggs Benedict $12 for a can of sparkling water Verdict: It is definitely a beautiful place worth trying for the outstanding mangrove experience and biking trails, but go in with your eyes wide open regarding the astronomical food and drink cost."

"Excellent resort very friendly staff beautiful rooms. Food is great worth every dollar. The only thing I wish is their elevators weren’t so hot. They were like hot boxes. There’s no fans or AC in the hallways which is a little annoying. However, everything else is great. I would highly recommend this place."

"We had a wonderful stay here. We did book an adult only but once arrived we realized the only things that was adult only was 1 private pool and the actual building we were staying in. Once you start to rome around the resort it is 100% kid friendly. Other than that, we enjoyed our time, customer service is top tier! Our butler Adrian went above and beyond to make sure we were always satisfied and took care of all of our dinner reservations and guidance around the resort! Fernando checked us in and warm greeting as Maria checked us out to make sure we had a great experience. All the staff was great, food and restaurant service was really good too. Over all great experience and a great time!"

"Exeptional experience from beginning to end. The property is gorgeous and the staff are incredibly helpful and kind. They really go out of their way to make every aspect of your stay as lovely as possible. The spa, the pool, the dining, the butler services, the focus on ecofriendly offerings--everything! A true highlight for us was the flora & fauna. The plants are so beautiful all over the resort, and the wildlife was even more spectacular than we could have dreamed. We saw coatis, sereques, iguanas, and spider monkeys! The spider monkeys really put on a show! And the resort treats them with such reverance & respect, it was magical. We also really enjoyed the private cenote experience with Daniel, if you can fit this into your trip, please do! The butler staff also set up a snorkeling excursion for us in Cozumel, this was some of the best snorkeling we've ever done, highly recommend. Though, if you're fair-skinned, please wear UV clothing, sunscreen alone will not be enough to protect you from those rays! All in all, the stay was incredible and we can't wait to go back!"
