"We had a lovely stay at the hotel, our room was nice and clean on arrival. Breakfast was good and the pool and spa area were just what we needed to have an hour to relax in. Kaleb at the bar was really friendly and professional. We would stay again if in the area. "

"Easy check in, staff were super helpful. Room was a great size, clean and nice and bright. Struggled to get the app to connect to my Expedia booking to control all the mod-cons but it wasn't critical - I could still use the TV remote the old fashioned way! Really enjoyed our stay here as an overnight stop to break up a long journey and would definitely recommend to other travellers!"

"This historic building has been beautifully restored, congratulations! The Old Abbey House is in a perfect location in the centre of Abingdon. Our room was a deluxe king suite (garden view) and was faultless. Thoughtfully designed, spacious with a separate seating and kitchen area making for a very comfortable stay. Check-in was very straightforward."

"LOVED IT! If you want to experience English inns, stay here. Beautiful, peaceful, albeit very European with the room configuration and bathroom setups, but a very fair trade off for the environment. That is actually one of the reasons I chose it, reliving childhood experiences of quaint English inns. Beautiful, peaceful and affordable. Right near Bibury Trout Farm & the Cotswolds or, I suggest the small village of Carterton for a nice slice of pizza."

"Nothing We could not contact the host and had our stay ruined We had to spend nearly £200 on taxis, buses and trains as well as booking alternative (dearer) accommodation in Swindon (a different city) Utterly shocking and absolutely spoiled our trip - had to traipse around Oxford with 2 massive cases all evening before travelling directly over 2 hr to our hotel"

"Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent, the evening meal also. The staff at the hotel made the trip, they were so nice, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Beautiful setting was nice to have a drink by the river in the evening after a day of exploring."
