"Very helpful staff and a fantastic location. Nice food and drinks too!"

"Lovely staff, good, clean room and tasty breakfast. A great place to stay! I stayed 2 nights. On the 2nd night, I'd been out all day in the rain at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and I was tired. So I decided to eat in. I didn't realise dinner had to be reserved - my fault. Normally, I could have got something from the bar but it was 5th November and it was packed for the fireworks! Again, my fault really for not checking. Anyway, I can highly recommend the hotel and I will definitely stay again,...

"Lovely stay in this hotel. We used the SPA including the facilities. Great choice at Breakfast, free parking, bed was very comfortable, room had everything we needed. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Would definitely recommend a stay here."

"We were well looked after by Scout on arrival. The property had a very calming atmosphere. The menu is not extensive but the quality of the food was excellent and we liked the idea of the small plates it gave the opportunity to try a number of items (in the style of tapas but with more quantity). This was a great place to get away and relax and we would not hesitate to return."

"A bit tired. Could do with a good scrub and a coat of paint. Room ok. We only stayed a couple of nights. I would not have wanted to be there for a week. Pool and sauna very good. Shower by sauna very good. Hot tub and flooring near pool seemed like it could be cleaner. Breakfast buffet ok but much better ordering off the menu. Food in the restaurant for the evening meal was good. All staff were very good!"

"The inn keepers were awesome. Welcoming, attentive and friendly. My room was clean and comfy. Highly recommend the Chainlocker "

"Superb guesthouse in convenient location close to city centre. Close to bus routes too. Very accommodating owners. Lovely, clean room with everything you could ask for. Brilliant continental breakfast including cereals, pastries, toast, fruit/fruit salad, cheese and yoghurts. Cake and hot drinks also available during the day. Communal fridge is useful to keep your own food fresh. Really lovely experience with amazing hosts. Highly recommended!"

"The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much.ch trouble. The food was excellent, a highlight being breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view out to sea. The bedroom was very comfortable with an excellent bathroom as well."

"Friendly and well"

"Just returned from a three night stay, everything was as great as it could be, helpful friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. Our only criticism is their sister hotel could do with some staff training, service was as good as being at fawlty towers. However idle rocks was perfect !!"

"We booked this room last minute for a great price so were honestly not expecting much. From the outset the welcome was great, every member of staff we came across was helpful and friendly. The view from our room was beautiful, over looking the sea. The room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Ok, the rooms aren't as contemporary as some I've stayed at but perfectly good. The breakfast room itself has a wonderful view and the breakfast didn't disappoint. It was good quality, hot...

"The room was clean and smell nice. Room has everything you need (fridge, microvawe, kettle, some plate and cutlery)"

"Very nice rooms, good breakfast"
