Close to start of walk up Snowdon, the steam trains, the Ceunant Mawr waterfall, Dolbadarn Castle, Padarn Country Park and the Slate museum. Good breakfast choices and the meals in the bar were all excellent but pricey. Hotel bit dated and bit of a maze finding room/lifts/stairs. Large, clean, quiet room with nice view of surrounding mountains. Very comfortable bed. Creaky floorboards! Bathroom a bit small but decent shower. "
