"The hotel’s remote location and beautiful views were wonderful! The hotel’s shuttle from and to Echigo-Yuzawa Station was very much appreciated. From Check-in to check-out the staff service was excellent. The Japanese/Western room was spacious. We had a corner unit with a view of the snow and trees. The booking came with buffet breakfast and dinner we were so happy and satisfied-the food layout was appetizing and very delicious. "We loved our stay at chalet Shiga. Skiing was fantastic. The people at the chalet treated us very well, lovely authentic japenese food and setting. The location is perfect, at the bottom of ichinose. We went at the start of spring season, which did mean some of the slopes were closed, and the buses were limited. Something to be aware of. But, there was still plenty of fluffy white stuff, lifts and slopes. We didn't need to go see the snow monkeys - they came to see us 😀"
