"Great stay at the Bo18 hotel in Budapest. Very friendly and helpful staff morning and night, clean rooms and functional bathrooms with good showers. The breakfast was wonderful with great options, including scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, veggie and fruit options, yogurt, multiple bread and pastry offerings and several coffee/tea choices. "Escala is a tight efficient hotel right off of the Corvin Plaza. For the small footprint it provides a lot of comfort. Many units have partial kitchens and some even have working washing machines for clothes. The breakfast in the morning is worth it and staff are accommodating to guests from around the world. "The hotel is a gem. For something so affordable, they really pay attention to the details. The location is excellent--it is on a very quiet and peaceful street near restaurants that locals go to while also being close to tourist attractions and tourist nightlife--also a 10 minute walk from bus to airport. The rooms are clean, service excellent, and there are lots of nice touches--towels folded into swans on the bed, special glasses for brandy/cordials... I highly recommend it. As a woman...

"The place is nice, the host is amazing! A bit hard to move your luggage to the second floor, Room 9, but apart from this it was great. I love the attic. The area nearby is not very nice per se, but you have a quick access to the train and can explore the downtown. "
