The White Horse Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The room was small, but comfortable and clean, the bathroom was perfectly adequate. The staff were inobtrusive and very accommodating and the location was peaceful. Parking wasn't a problem and I would love to stay here again."
The West Wing - Luxury Home, spectacular grounds & heated pool

"A wonderfully relaxing stay in a beautiful property set in glorious surroundings. The property is thoughtfully finished to the highest standards and is equipped with everything that could be needed. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. The pool is a huge bonus and the recent addition of a hot tub is yet another thoughtful touch. Our hosts are kind and generous - always on call for questions - but never intrusive. We stayed for a week and only left the property once (to visit Pooh's Bridge in the Ashdown Forest). Our eight year old was more than happy in such a welcoming and safe environment. He is asking when we can return ..... not soon enough!"
"Thanks so much for having us!
We had a great time and a lovely sleep, staff were very nice, friendly and helpful!
The bar was great and the optional breakfast in the morning was delicious.
Thank you again, see you soon!"
"Travelled from Lancashire on the Friday and stayed until the Monday we were received with a welcome despite arriving late shown to our rooms which were very basic but comfortable. Only criticism no one replenished anything whilst we were there including toilet roll teabags et cetera however I’m sure if we have asked we would’ve got them.
Breakfast was phenomenal lots of choice cooked to perfection to order plenty of juice, cereals, fresh fruit, and yoghurt.
Stuff very friendly and welcoming. It is a little noisy if you wish to leave your windows open bearing in mind you can hear the noise from the beer garden but we weren’t particularly upset by this but other travellers may find this annoying.
I would recommend staying here as it is very comfortable, friendly and food, gorgeous.
We came for Brighton pride although it’s not near we were able to get Ubers on the bus on the Sunday from across the road.

"We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! "
