"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good spa facilities which were clean. The room was well set out and clean, although it felt a little tired! Breakfast was good, all fresh and scrambled and poached eggs cooked to order. All in all a good stay."

"Wonderful location would certainly return."

"Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding. Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts. Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners. Beautfiul location. Lovely Japanese meditation garden next to the bagel cafe, was...

"Stayed here as an entry point to the South West Coastal path so whilst the town itself only has a pub and a post office, it was perfect for a 1 night stay before starting a long walk. There's also a local bus which goes a few times a day. Big room, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast included. Lovely stay."

"Such a lovely friendly receptionist on arrival. We had the green room and it was big and very clean."

"The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open."

"We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!"

"Staff were welcoming / friendly. Hotel/furnishings are old, tired and not very clean. Did not sleep well due to loud humming air conditioning unit outside our room which kept us awake all night. Parking included. Whilst not expecting much for the price, we had hoped we would be able to get some sleep! Staff are the best asset to this hotel."

"Very nice room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. My only criticism would be the indoor pool which is looking a bit tired"

"This was one of the best stays that I’ve experienced in a while. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly upon arrival and were happy to answer any questions. I was traveling alone with two children and the staff were intuitive and accommodating. The food was phenomenal and the breakfast the next morning was really good as well."

"Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers"

"Beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff throughout or staff."

"Una calda accoglienza nelle brughiere del Dartmoor. La struttura è comoda, sulla strada. La camera ha tutto ciò che serve ed è molto calda ed accogliente. Il personale alla reception super gentile. La colazione a buffet ricca, la cena potrebbe migliorare."
