"We had an ocean view room We walked out of our door to a lounger by the ocean!!! Magnificent view plus lots of shade. Be sure and accept the coconut water upon arrival. It comes in a coconut with the hotel name on it! Love the added touches. I felt very pampered at this hotel! Hopefully we will make it back to Costa Rica! Definitely put the Coast on your go to list!"

"Stayed here for 3 nights in late April. Make sure to contact the property by email before arriving to get the check in details as there is no reception onsite and booking sites will sometimes not let messages go through! The owner will respond usually pretty fast by email. Great location and affordable for Tamarindo where you can cross the street and be in the ocean in under a few minutes! Cleaning lady was really nice and puts out coffee, tea, and some fruit in the morning. Small walk to downtown so you don't have the crazy noise of people from there, but you will be near the Crazy Monkey club if that's your vibe on a Friday night. We got unlucky with a high water pressure noise issue coming from the property behind us when in the back rooms of 3 and 6, making crazy sounds all day and night - luckily it subsided after the 1st night/day. Also, if in those rooms, the wifi will not reach you - would recommend a mesh network or reposition the router. "

"Location is in the middle of pretty much the center of Tamarindo for whatever you need, carr was kept in a gated and fully secured parking lot. The pool and set up of the entire place was gorgeous, you wouldn’t need anything more."

"I stayed in Tamarindo. This hotel is in the center of town and is a nice hotel. It’s a small hotel 24 rooms or so. Pool in the middle of rooms. Everything went smoothly and staff is great. My room only had single AC unit for the room and the room gets hot even with the AC running all the time. And I was the last unit on the top row of rooms and WiFi connection was barely in range some of the time . Other than those 2 issues. It was a great property and clean. Close to the beach, supermarket, souvenirs and coffee shops. "

"Great Stay, clean comfortable and close to the beach. The staff were excellent and really made the the stay from check in to the breakfast the staff were truly excellent and kind. They really made the stay memorable. Heads up there are a number of stairs ;)"

"This was my second time staying here. The ocean front rooms are way nicer and more modern than the other rooms. The owner is the same as the Diria next door, where you’ll be having your breakfast. Listen, for the price, just stay at the Diria, you’ll be spending maybe 80 bucks more and it’s got all the amenities you’ll need like pools, bars, restaurants, etc. The Perla is nice and low key, but too expensive for just offering oceanfront and free breakfast. "
