Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the breakfast was perfect. It's close to several restaurants, bars, cafes, and a grocery store. The beach and the main strip in Tamarindo are about a 10-15 min walk but we liked this as it kept it very quiet in the room. We stayed for 5 days without a car and did not feel we needed one. Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, which was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend

We had a great stay at La Ramona. It’s was as described in the property description. The owners and staff were all very kind and the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately they had construction going on while we were there in November which lead to early morning wake ups due to the noise.

The name is fitting...charming! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Ramona. The hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood away from the main strip, which is what we wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful. The communal kitchen had everything we needed, including a made-to-order breakfast every morning. Our room had an outside bathtub and shower on a private patio. It was very quaint and romantic. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Thank you!

Staying at la Romana Charming was an excellent choice, great location, the staffs were great,the service was excellent ( it was my sister’s bday they left a cake with candle for her) I had a very good breakfast , very personalized to your taste The room was nice. The pool was a treat ,warm and clean.I will definitely highly recommend this hotel .

It was nice, quiet and just what we were looking for in a one-night stay. Only blemish was that the power went out for a couple of hours, but hey, we are used to that in Central America. I do recomend the stay, no doubt!

5 star for the location, unique aesthetic and appeal, my room came with a private outdoor shower as well as an indoor one. Host Pavel was kind, always available and the hotel was a few minutes walk from the main stretch, I would come back here.

Paul, the owner is so nice and accommodating. Property is very quiet and small (only 5 villas). Very comfortable bed and clean all around. It is only about a 7 minute walk before we start seeing restaurants/bars and its about a 15 minute walk to the beach.

Small charming hotel, as the name suggests. Rooms are spacious and hotel has a swimming pool centrally located in the centre. The best part of the rooms was the bed, which was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Daily housekeeping. Hotel is in a quiet area, which we appreciated, especially when the bars were rocking, but still walkable to the centre of town and the beach. The only meal option is breakfast, served between 08:00 and 10:00, and made to order.

Great stay

We spent 1 night at La Ramona! It is beautiful! Pavel the manager is so nice! The pool was refreshing! 8 min walk into town. The roads are dirt/gravel part of the way and no sidewalks but it wasn’t bad. The outside shower and bathtub were very relaxing! Breakfast was great! Fruit, eggs, rice, beans, and toast! Perfect little spot for our last night in Costa Rica!

Pavel, the manager, was kind, helpful, and able to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast and property had a comfortable home-vibe, and felt like we were relaxing at a quaint oasis. The property is off the main strip so is a little quieter if you are there to relax or just want to be away from the hustle and bustle. The outside patio with the bathtub and shower was the highlight! It's hard to find a nice relaxing bathtub anywhere. The breakfast was traditional Costa Rican, and it was nice to have a friendly chat with Pavel. We will definitely be back (=

Our room was infested with black ants that were coming thru the space between the glass and wall. Tried to get another hotel that night but all was booked elsewhere. The room was dated. Best part of the stay was the breakfast. Sorry, we won’t be back.
