The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks.
Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open."

"Lovely little hotel with fabulous views and great friendly staff. My room was great and my immaculate. Food was very good. I will definitely be returning soon. "
"What a fantastic stay we had as two couples celebrating my birthday. How lucky was I to receive a complimentary room upgrade which was a great surprise.
The room had a side view overlooking the water, a comfortable king bed and spacious bathroom.
Breakfast was plentiful with so many cooked options.
The hotel was central in Fowey, so everything was easily walkable. Sitting on the terrace with a drink on the water was a really calming area.

"This was our second year here, due to the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the food and the location. You can do as much or as little as you like using this as a base. We just love the ambience of the whole area. We did trips by car, train, boat, bus as well as feet. Would visit again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable."

"Thanks to Debbie and Chris for a fab stay at their cottage. Check-in was easy. The cottage and location excellent for Fowey high street and all the shops and restaurants. The kitchen, had everything we needed and was well thought through! Lots of helpful info on what to do in the area too. Our kids loved the crabbing off the slip way in front of the house! View of the water excellent and fun watching the ferry go to and fro as well as all the yatchs and boats. We had a lovely stay!"

"Place View is a prettily decorated, very cosy house in the heart of Fowey, with easy to access shops, restaurants and the harbour and very near the church so be ready for bells to ring all thru the night! The beds are comfy with nice linens and the big bath off the master bedroom is great to soak in after a day of walking. View from the tub is stunning! The house is so well equipped and a lovely welcome basket was gifted to us with cheese and wine. We loved it."
