Firstly, a credit to the staff, all of whom were fantastically polite and personable, providing simply great service.
The vintage lift was a unique joy with the communal areas continuing the slightly nostalgic theme.
The bar and dining vibe was relaxed, quiet and combined with great food and attentive staff made for a relaxed breakfast, evening drinks and dinner. Incidentally, dining provides for great views over the harbour.
Our room had the most complete sea vista, was incredibly clean with a very comfy bed and was very well stocked with tea and Nespresso coffee.
In contrast to other large hotels locally the Harbour provided for a quiet, relaxing stay and a memorable visit to Fowey.

"Place View is a prettily decorated, very cosy house in the heart of Fowey, with easy to access shops, restaurants and the harbour and very near the church so be ready for bells to ring all thru the night! The beds are comfy with nice linens and the big bath off the master bedroom is great to soak in after a day of walking. View from the tub is stunning! The house is so well equipped and a lovely welcome basket was gifted to us with cheese and wine. We loved it."

"Great location and well set up with everything you would need. Lovely comfy bed and couldn’t be more convenient for getting into the town. Couldn’t help but notice a couple of things though. The microwave didn’t cook which was frustrating and we noticed the cleaner turned up with a new one as we left so it was clearly something the owner was aware of. The shower leaks from the corner of the tray especially if you use the horizontal part. You can hear the neighbours when sat in the lounge and smell their cooking. Advertised as having parking when we searched for it. This couldn't be further from the truth or more inconvenient for getting in and out with your bags. "
