"Hotel was better than expected after reading the reviews. Previously stayed at the hotel many years ago with previous owners & it has so many facilities for kids it has the potential to be a great hotel (like it used to) Biggest let down was the heat of the room. It was actually unbearable heat, hardly slept & were kids not feeling great with it. Hotel rooms seriously need air con. Other thing that could be improved is to bring back the restraunt. "Lovely, comfortable cottage in a great location for a range of activities. Cosy for an October break but would be fantastic in warmer weather too. Our only small criticism was the night time temperature was set at 15 degrees and couldn’t be changed and while there was lots of cosy bedding we had a toddler who still wakes a couple of times in the night so it was a bit cold tending to him. Still a 5⭐️ break."

"An “old school” hotel concept kept relevant and welcoming. Quiet bedrooms with excellent blackout curtains! Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
