"WONDERFUL staff and LUXURIOUS accommodations make The Benson a MUST stay in downtown Portland. Palm Court Restaurant & Bar was a favorite for its food and friendly service. Despite not having bell service available (still scratching my head on that one), The Benson's sheer beauty and accommodating staff certainly make up for that lack of service. The location, while convenient, does provide cause for pause as there is boarded up property, graffiti, and some homeless nearby."

"Relatively clean & spacious room for the price. The shuttle will pick you up from the airport with no advance notice which is nice. Staff were friendly & helpful. Housekeeping did a great job. Part of my stay was w/out transportation & it’s in a rough area with not much of note around unless you walk 30 minutes. The laundry services are underwhelming, most of the machines were out of service & there is nowhere to get quarters to use them. No elevator so you might need to lug your baggage up a...

"I stay here for a getaway 10 minutes from my home. I have all my friends and family stay here when in town. Nice views. AMAZING chicken in the restaurant. Location is in the middle of everything. 20 min to airport. The stars are the staff. They also have the coolest coffee machine in the lobby for guests. "
