"The place is beautiful and the rooms are nice. However, I didn't not like behaviour of one receptionist at front desk. I just asked whether is there any lake view room available. She started with rudely telling no we are full and then she started telling, we have members who pays a lot of money so we give them those room first, and you just booked the room 10 days before. Our members have booked a year before. Well I didn't want that information with so much rudeness and arrogance, a simple no would have worked. On top of that, heater was not working in the main bedroom which we realised in night. after informing it reception they gave a spare electric heater and told it will be fixed next day morning. However, it was not fixed till we left the place which means for next 3 days. Apart from these I have really enjoyed my stay."

"For the money, this a great hotel! Staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms a clean and big enough. The breakfasts a great. Room could do with refreshing a bit but no Complaints. Would definitely visit again! "

"This small hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, walking distance to the village of Wrea Green and a short drive to Litham/St Anne's. Our stay was just perfect with lovely comfy beds and everything we needed in our room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate. We didn't use the bar or restaurant but it looked very nice with lots of lovely outdoor seating for good weather. I can highly recommend the hotel "

"Stayed at the Glendower for just one night but everything about the hotel is lovely. Rooms are clean and bright, staff are courteous and helpful, location is excellent. Would recommend."
